The Raw Steel Youth Coach Program is designed to provide
Raw Steel players with the opportunity to develop and apply their leadership abilities in an environment where they have knowledge,
experience and confidence.
Under the guidance of a senior Raw Steel Coach, the Youth
Coach is assigned with the responsibility for the training and development of younger Raw Steel players. During this assignment, the Youth Coach is able to see immediate results of their effort that contribute
to the player’s development and ultimately the success of the team. As
an integral asset to the coaching staff, the Youth Coach is often found working alongside team coaches during team practices,
RSU Clinics and on the bench during games.
As a recognized nonprofit 501(c)(3) club, the time a Youth Coach
invests in Raw
Steel qualifies as credits towards community service that
can be documented in college applications where the key to making
extracurricular activities stand out within the limited space of the application form is to focus on leadership.
To become a Youth Coach, you must meet the following qualifications
and submit a written request indicating why you want to be considered as a Youth Coach to Raw Steel Hockey Club Executive
